As soon as the NPC-1 TCP/IP interface is connected to a network it can be configured directly through any NetControl® applications. Although, sometimes you have to setup the NPC-1 through the serial port. For this setup you need a null modem cable. Please check if your null modem cable has the following pinouts. Both serial cable connectors have to be DB-9 female.
